I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I would also like to wish you Health, Happiness and Prosperity for 2010.
For me 2009 was not a great year but I am hopeful and praying for a better year in 2010. I would also like to thank all the people who visit my blog, follow or subscribe to it or those who are just "scrapbooking friends' for your comments, support, awards and your friendship. I have been terrible in keeping up or just saying thanks. This is due mainly to the year I have had but I want you to know that you are all very much appreciated!!!

I would also like to let you know that links I have disabled with the intention of selling in my stores, will be restored sometime in the coming weeks. Due to health and other issues it may take me a bit of time to get them up again but they will be back up. And from now on if something appears as a freebie on my blog, it will stay a freebie.

Anyone that has watched "Evan Almighty", knows what A.R.K. stands for - Acts of Random Kindness. I have made a few tags that I hope you will use to encourage Acts of Random Kindness in yourself and your family and friends.
Print them out, cut them out and when you do an act of kindness, write about it on the back of your tag, date it and hang it on the tree.

I would love to hear of any Acts of Random Kindness you have done or think would be a great idea.
Acts of Kindness don't need to cost money. In fact, the most precious thing we can give is ourselves! Share some time with friends and family, give a big smile to someone that looks like they've never smiled in their life, let someone go in front of you at the check out lineup, sweep off your neighbor's car or sidewalk while you're doing yours, make some inspirational cards, drop them in your neighbor's mailboxes anonymously, go to the hospital, look for someone that looks like they could use a friend, visit for a bit. Offer at hospitals or at old folks homes to take someone for a walk, or to push their wheelchair while you walk. Tell someone you haven't seen in a long time, that you love them, offer a single parent childcare, and the list goes on.

Please leave in the comments your ideas!! Please even if you don't use these tags, do a few Acts of Random Kindness this Christmas Season and maybe you'll like it so much, you will continue all year! Merry Christmas and God Bless!

I was playing around this afternoon, making myself some Christmas tags for presents. I was trying to make a set that didn't use too much color. I sort of succeeded...lol
Print them out on your printer, regular sized paper. Cut out and personalize with your own message. Get the kids or grandkids involved! These are made at 200 dpi. I have been hearing more and more that 200 dpi is high enough for quality printing. Even printshops only use 200 dpi. My printer isn't working right now but I plan to ask my daughter to print it out for me.
If you disagree as to the printing quality when you print it out, let me know!

There was a request for a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Ribbon, which is also in October. I have made two ribbon kits, one is Personal Use and one is Commercial Use. It is my hope to make a full kit for this theme. In the meantime I hope this is what you were looking for Kim. If not please let me know. My heart to goes out to those who have lost a child. I made a couple of desktop calendars for my Incredimail group and thought I would share them here as well. The first calendar is made from a freebie kit I will be posting on July 1st - The Spring Garden Blog Train. The second one is made from my Canada Day Scrap kit.
I don't usually make calendars so I hope you can use them. I made them in two sizes only. I figure if you have a computer screen larger than 1280, you can just center the calendar and then make your background color the same as the outside of the calendar. Right?? I hope so!

TRIPLE HINGED FRAME FREEBIE

I have been playing around making frames the last couple of days, (between working on collab kits that are supposed to be done this weekend) and decided to offer one as a freebie. I had made a couple of others but do you think I can find them. They have up and just walked right off my computer...hmm, maybe flown! lol If they ever decide to come back I will share them with you!

This is a layout I made using the hinged frames. These are my precious granddaughter's. The mountain's in the background is the scenery we enjoy in our part of the world. But the most beautiful scenery is that in the frames. The frames are in png and psd (layered) format for you to recolor. You can leave the ribbons on or take them off. I have also made it available in both tagger and full size. Commercial Use is okay. Have a great weekend.

LADYBUG FREEBIE CU SCRIPT

I have a free ladybug script for you today. The script makes a full size bug but can be easily resized for tagger kits. I have left the layers unmerged so you can add more shading, bevels, textures, add or remove a layer, whatever takes your fancy. Below are 3 examples that I did. The script was tested in psp 9 to 12U, and ran fine in all versions. I suggest running in interactive so you can change cutout and brightness setting to suit the color or pattern you are using. You can also set brightness to "0" if you are wanting to make a ladybug with the back to the front (see preview below).
Please be sure to read the TOU and the instructions before running it. I would love to see anything you make with it! Have fun with it.

NEW QUICKPAGES AND A FREEBIE

I have been trying to get back into creating kits since my mom passed but am finding it hard to come up with anything, so I decided to try making some quickpages from my A Summer Dream's Kit. You can see the whole kit here. Below are some quickpages I made and they are up in my stores. Just click on one of the blinkies to the right to go to one of the stores (Except for Creative Scraps, I don't have them up there yet.) All my kits and these quickpages are on sale for 30% off till end of May. I really need some practice at making quickpages so if you like these please leave me a comment!

I have also made a Quickpage freebie from the kit. There are two pages in the kit. One with cutouts for the photo's and one without, so you can add your own frames or put your photo's where you want them. The freebie quickpage is the last one. Hope you like!

This sweet spring flower was made by my 11 yr. old granddaughter (she's the one in the picture with me in my profile). I have been teaching her to psp. She picked it up quickly and I often learn from her now when she is creating! I am so proud to be her Nana! She generously said yes, when I asked if I could share this flower on my blog. It is in png format, 300 dpi and for PERSONAL USE ONLY please. If anyone is to profit from it, I think it should be her!

Now trying to get comments is like pulling teeth...lol - but if you could take the time to let Deanna know what you think of her flower, I would really appreciate it and I know she would too. TWISTED PET COLLAB FREEBIE KIT FINALLY!

I would like to apologize to Soto and my fellow Designers on this Collab for not getting it up on time. 48 hrs late - not good. My biggest apologies to those who dropped by expecting a kit.
Besides a family emergency Saturday night (and everything is now okay - sort of), we got home this morning. We got a call just after lunch, my son's dog had been run over and was killed. Needless to say, everyone was upset, especially my young granddaughter's and daughter-in-law.
Dudley was a 6 month golden lab and well-loved by the family. My step-grandson had an accident on a quad. Lot's of surgery, as the back of his leg was badly torn up. My granddaughter's spent the afternoon with me, while the dog was taken away and just to get them away from there for awhile. They are only 6 years old and unfortunately witnessed the dog being hit.

To make up for my being late, I will be adding some wordart about pets tomorrow (barring anything else happening). I had hoped to do it tonight but I am just too tired.
As someone said in a comment here - Family is always first.....

This is not a large kit, but I hope someone will be able to use. It is for Personal Use Only.

Almost a foot of snow in the last week, about 5 inches yesterday. It is not even close to spring here!

I was given a challenge by Devine Dzines. This is interesting. I am supposed to to to my picture folder and find the 6th picture in the 6 folder. Post it here and tell you about it. I am also supposed to pass this on to 6 others.
Here is the 6th picture from the 6 folder....lol You asked for it! My sister's were going for a drive in around Abbotsford, BC. They decided to make a little snowman with a bit of snow on the side of the road. They found a beer can on the side of the road too. The picture is called, 'a drunk snowman in the middle of the road'....lol Remember I can't pick my relatives!

I am going to pass this challenge along tomorrow as my computer is not allowing sites to open right now....grrr.

NEW ITEMS PTU

I have finally gotten some new items up in my stores. All but one are for commercial use.

The beaded wire elements are for personal use only but you can make your own by getting the scripts from Michelle's Angel's. That poor girl probably thinks I have disappeared as I haven't gotten anything done as one of her Creative Team members. I know she is busy setting up a new store though. If you're looking for a place to sell your items, drop over to Michelle's blog and apply to be a designer or part of the creative team.

I would like to thank all those who have been praying for my dad. He is doing pretty well. The doctor's consider his recovery a miracle. He had a 'brain stem' stroke and they are usually fatal. He knows and so do I that this miracle was a blessing from God and an answer to the many prayers that went out for him. Thank you! He is not out of the woods as they are unable to operate or dissolve the clot because of where it is. So I ask for your continued prayers for him, that this clot will dissolve on it's own or at least not cause any further damage. He is in intensive therapy right now and is doing well. He will be in the hospital at least another 4 weeks as he works to regain some of his motor skills or as much as he can. My mom, is not doing better but she isn't any worse, so I thank God for that.

My Apologies/Family News

I would like to apologize again to those who have given me awards, it seems that each time I go to finally get them up something happens. My father had a bad stroke a few days ago. A brain stem stroke which are almost always fatal. Right now he is in the Red Deer Hospital. As you can guess my time and my concerns are with my dad at this time.
I don't know that I will get anything posted over the next few to several days. I do have a couple of kits I am supposed to have done in the next few days. One on the 24th. I have it done, I just have to get it zipped and a preview done. I will try.
It has been a bad week, my mother is also having heart problems. She got test results back this week - she has had two heart bypasses in past years and now has a blockage in her neck and two arteries to her heart are thickening and causing problems. Due to her frail health they do not feel they can operate on her or really help her.
Then last night a cousin of mine posted a suicide note on Facebook. His father and police spent most of the night looking for him in Calgary. He was found alive but obviously needs help.
Any prayers would be welcome at this time. Especially for my dad, as it is not known yet if he will survive and if he does his quality of life will be severely reduced. He is a very proud, independent and active man and is broken in body and spirit right now. I thank you for your patience in waiting for new posting and for any prayers.

ANOTHER VALENTINE QUICKPAGE FREEBIE

I haven't slept in over 28 hours now. I can be an insomniac every once in awhile. I was just playing and ended up making this quickpage. I really suck at them...lol I love the way the one below was put together with my pearl heart frames. When I traditionally scrapbook I tend to do very simple pages, letting the photo be the focus. Sooo, I am going to have to continue to practice making them. This one is made up of some items I started making for a Valentine scrapkit. I have one pace lately, slow and slower...lol The quickpage is full size, 300 dpi, 12 by 12. It is my hope that someone may find a use for it. I found a cutie to tuck in the heart! I lost all my family pics in a crash this summer and haven't gotten them all back from family yet. It seems like there is a thousand things I need to do lately and am managing to get anything done!

I have received several awards since Christmas and really need to get them up here and say thanks and link back, I really need to get some kits made, I really need to clean my house, - reality check time! lol Have a good weekend and maybe see you back with another freebie.

My awards and a list of sites to share them with as well! It is 2:30 am. here. I have been up since Thurs. morning. Hopefully I will zonk out here soon. If not I guess I have lots to do!

I have been having fun playing with a couple of new scripts that Michelle of Michelle's Angels has created. The frame and the bottle in the quickpage below are some new scripts she should have out very soon. I love scripts! They make a designer's life so much easier. I did not reduce the size of the bottle or the frame so that gives you an idea how big they are. HEART SHAPE FRAMES

The only thing I seemed to get done today was these heart shape frames. Although I did have fun playing around with them. There are traditional, funky, any occassion and ones just like the kids make! The preview does nothing for them. They are about 6 in. - 300 dpi - and in png format. CU okay as long as they are incorporated into a kit, quickpage, etc and not sold by themselves. Decorate them, color them, have fun with them, whether for Valentine's, Mother's Day or where ever a heart frame would be appropriate. (To me that is any theme!)

CU HEART FRAME FREEBIE

I have been trying to come up with some Valentine Kits. I think my muse has left...lol While playing I came up with this Heart Frame. Nice for Valentine's and for other themes! I hope you like it. Frame is about 6 in long and in png format. The little stones are not a part of the frame but are included in the kit if you want to add them. Preview is of the frame with stones and without. Commercial Use is okay as long as you are using it in a kit or quickpage etc. Do not sell as it is, by itself - please do not claim as your own. I have a new freebie mini kit for you. Michelle of Michelle's Angels has a new script for making a Valentine Candy. I decided to make one thing with each Candy the script made. This script is actually 2 scripts, one makes the candy and the other your text on the candy.

Michelle. of Michelle's Angel's has done it again. A new script with all kinds of possibilities. I made a Victorian Valentine Charm to hang on your pages. It is 11 in. long and about 5 in wide. It can be resized down. I'm not showing all the ribbon in the preview. The scripts make a wire heart in gold or silver and is about 5 in. by 5 in. Hearts and beads are included. Christmas is over! I always hate that after Christmas feeling. We spend weeks getting ready, getting stressed...lol, being excited because it is finally here; the big day comes and it is so quickly over. I am still eager to make 2 or 3 more Christmas kits! And I just might!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Thanks to those that have left Christmas greetings and comments! I did have a wonderful time with friends and family and as I said, it was over too fast! My daughter hosted and I even managed to sneak out with a few leftovers...lol That is the one thing I miss about no longer hosting Christmas, the leftovers!

NEW CHRISTMAS LAYOUTS

I thought I would share a couple of more layouts I made using my new kit from the Holly Jolly Blog Train (which will be released tomorrow!) and using a new script by Michelle of Michelle's Angels. She has a new script out to make peppermint candy sticks. I used them as an embellishment on the stocking and as a frame on the other layout. The script is super quick and there are all kinds of things you can use them for (and not just for Christmas!) The round peppermint candies are also a script by Michelle! Picture's are of my great niece and nephew, a couple of real sweeties!

I couldn't sleep tonight, so played in psp for awhile. The result is these 3 Quick Pages. Unfortunately down sizing them has lost some of the detail on them. The QP with 4 frames has a gold border around it and inside each of the frames. All of them are 12x12 - 300 dpi and in png format. I really like how they turned out, hope you will too! HAPPY HOLLY DAYS PART ONE FREEBIE KIT

I have been working on two Christmas kits. This one, Happy Holly Days and another that will be part of a blog train that will be released Dec. 15. I am also working on a New Year's Blog Train kit that should be released around Dec. 26. Each day I work a bit on one kit or the other but haven't finished them up yet. So to push myself I am going to offer parts of the Happy Holly Day's Kit each day. How many days? I don't know...lol Depends on when I finally say, "that's enough!" I hope you will come back each day for each part. I am starting out with some ''cards' I made. They can be used as card fronts, tags for gifts or for scrapping or whatever your creative mind comes up! The snowman, Santa, caroller and wreathe will all be a part of the kit by themselves. Kit is for personal use, no commercial use please. TOU is included in the kit.
As always, comments sure would be appreciated. It is very discouraging when you see over a 100 downloads but only 4 or 5 comments left. I would like to thank those that take that extra couple of minutes to leave a comment. I really appreciate it!

MICHELLE'S NEW FRAME SCRIPT

Michelle, has a new frame script. This one is so versatile! It has 4 borders that you can pick the width of, and the pattern, gradient or color you want to use. The inside of the frame is 4 by 6 in. but it can be resized smaller if you wish. You can use to make frames for your scrapkits, frames for stationary or around tags or to make a quick frame to share a picture through email. For only $2 it is a script you will use again and again! And never the same frame twice if that's what you want. Below is some examples of what I did with the script. The bottom two I am using to make into stationary. Please note, script does not come with the embellishments I have added.

The above pic is my two oldest grandkids and their dad. He makes a great Santa! Below is a pic of my third grandchild. This is a few years ago, isn't she a sweetie! Actually all 4 of my grandkids are!

CHRSTMAS QP FREEBIE

I joined a Creative Team! A new venture for me that should be interesting. The CT is for Michelle of Michelle's Angels. My first project for her was working with a couple of Frame Scripts.

Below are what I made with Michelle's Frame Scripts. I am offering the Layout with my sweet great niece as a Quick Page. The other picture is just an example I made with Michelle's Decorative Frame Script. Please note that the scripts do not include ribbons, graphics or the glass bubble I added over the graphic. Each script makes a frame approx. 1280 by 1800.

The Quick Page Freebie does not include the picture (okay you know that..lol) or the title on the preview.
